Govt of the Pakistan Finance Division has issued Notification No. 1(1)-Reg.6/2008-44 dated 8th April 2014 in connection with the clarification of Grant of Invalid Pension to an Individual Having Less Than 5 Years Service.
There has been made amendment in Article 474-B of CSR vide Notification No. F.1(1)-Reg.6/2008 dated 24th June 2008 (SRO 58 (KE)/08 dated 24th June 2008. The query raised by MAG is as under:
Whether the condition of 5 years service has been abolished in newly added sub-clause ‘aa’ in the light of Finance Division dated 24-06-2008.
The case has been examined and it is clarified that sub-clause ‘aa’ is an addition in article 474-B to extend benefit of pension, as per eligibility of invalid pension to those civil servants who are unable to work and retired on account of invalidity due to accident, illness, terrorism or earthquake during service having less than 10 years service but more than five years service and who otherwise are not entitled for pension under Article 474-B ‘a’. Therefore condition of five years service has not been abolished.

My father is Assistant Professor, he will retire in August 2016. He had worked 8 years in Baluchistan university as a permanent employee, then he had resigned from his post & after 1 year he was Joined Dawood Engineering College but issue is that he was worked 12 years as a contract employee & in 2008 he was permanent. So is there any possibility he can avail pension.

My elder brother was appointed on five year contract who passed away in 2014 as SSE (Secondary School Educator) in 2003. The contract was renewed after completing five year in 2008, and then all educators became permanent in 2009 by Punjab Govt. His complete service was 10 years and three months without any break of single day (including contractual and regular service)? The education department has made objection on his family pension? Does anyone know the rules regarding this case? What should be the further procedure for claiming family pension?
