Government of the Punjab School Education Department has issued Notification No. SO (SE-III)5-49/2013 dated 23rd June 2014 in connection with Re-Allocation of Teaching Posts in Punjab.
In continuation of this department’s letter of dated 24th June 2013, 21st March 2014, 3rd April 2014 and 17th June 2014, the implementation of Re-Allocation of Teaching Posts in districts was required to be completed on the prescribed format issued vide letter of the date 17-06-2014 but compliance from most of the districts is still awaited.
In the recent stock taking meeting it has been noticed with serious concern that implementation in proper spirit has not been carried out. The Chief Minister Punjab has taken serious note of the laps and taken up the issue with Secretary Education. The issue was discussed in Executive Districts Officers (Education) meeting held on 21st June 2014 under the chairmanship of Secretary School Education and it was conveyed that complete implementation must be ensured by 30-06-2014. Any laps or delay would not be tolerated as issue has already caused embarrassment at the highest level. All EDOs (Education) will be personally responsible and would be accountable in case of failure in implementation of policy.
The surplus ESTs, if not yet been adjusted in Middle, High and Higher Secondary Schools can also be adjusted as per STR in understaffed primary schools.
The available surplus SSTs incumbents can also be adjusted in Middle, High or Higher Secondary Schools where SST posts are vacant as per workload/policy. However equal number of vacant posts of SSTs from these schools will be shifted to surplus pool at district level.
The available surplus PSTs incumbents can also be adjusted in Primary, Consolidated Model, Middle, High and Higher Secondary Schools where PST posts are vacant as per policy. However equal number of posts of PSTs from these schools will be shifted to surplus pool.
