Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority has issued Notification No. FO(B&F)/10-126/A-I/Vol-48/3738-3837 dated 26-11-2015 in connection with Clarification of One Advance Increment on Possession of Higher Qualification.
With reference to above mentioned Department letter of the dated 09-01-2014, one advance increment was granted to the employees of BPS-16 and below on acquiring higher qualification. Clarification of the same is as under:

The advance increment on acquiring higher qualification under office order dated 09-01-2014 is admissible with effect from 9th January 2014 or from the date of announcement of result of higher qualification which ever is later.

Whether the Senior Superintendents are entitled for advance increment on possession Master Degree?
Since the Senior Superintendents are promoted from the post of Assistant under 100% promotion quota, their prescribed qualification under relevant service rules is same as that of Assistant i.e Graduation; accordingly they are entitled for advance increment on acquiring higher qualification.

What is equivalency of DAE? Whether a Junior Clerk whose prescribed qualification in service rules is matric is entitled to advance increment on the basis of DAE or not?
The DAE is equivalent to intermediate accordingly, all the employees who possess the qualification of DAE and their prescribed qualification in the service rules is Matric/below matric are entitled to advance increment.
I was appointed as Line Superintendent Grade-1(BPS-13) on 03-11-1999. The required qualification was DAE(equal to intermediate). I have done my BA in 1998. Now I m in BPS 17 with same designation. Whether I am eligible for one advance increment or not.

U have the right to get the increment of ur higher qualification. You should appeal to your department along with related documents.

Advance Increments were only allowed to those who appointed before 30-11-2001 and also qualification prior to that date.

This notification is admissible to WAPDA employees only. Federal employees could get advance increments only before 2001.
