Government of the Punjab, Directorate of Public Instruction (Colleges), Punjab has issued Notification No. DD(Commerce)Contract/2016/12449-62 dated 03-05-2017 in connection with Regularization Commerce Stream Contract Employees Non-Teaching (BPS-01 to BPS-15) after the implementation of contract appointment policy 2004 of Government of the Punjab. The summary of the same is as under:
Regularization of Commerce Stream Contract Employees
I am directed to state that the Higher Education Department has passed direction to regularize the services of those Non-Gazetted contract employees whose posts & appointing authorities are defined in existing Punjab Education Department (Technical Wing) Service Rules, 1999 and their service records have already been scrutinized and submitted by the concerned appointing authorities / Principals, Deputy Directors (Collages), Directors of Education (Collages), DPI (Collages), Punjab Lahore. The Deputy Secretary (Commerce) had checked cases at his level and Additional Secretary (Establishment) has accorded its approval. Now, given below appointing authorities should issue regularization order of the employees to whom service record has already been scrutinized and presently serving in institutions / colleges.
The Higher Education Department has clarified that revised service rules of Non-Gazetted / Gazetted employees of commerce stream of Higher Education Department are under formulation process and remaining cases may kept pending till the finalization / incorporating of unclear appointing authorities in revised service rules.
In the light of above, I am directed to request you to pass direction to all the commerce stream Principals to regularized the services of above stated categories of those Non-Gazetted contract employees whose service record has already been scrutinized and presently serving institutions / Colleges.
