Government of the Sindh, Finance Department has issued Notification on 10-07-2018 in connection with House Rent Allowance Increase 2018 Sindh Government. Detail is as under:
I am directed to refer to this department`s letter No.FD(SR-III)5/20-2008 dated 15.07.2018, on the subject noted above and to state that the Government of Sindh has been pleased to allow the increase in the House Rent Allowance by 50% of the existing amounts of House Rent Allowance admissible to the employees of Sindh Governments with effect from 1st July, 2018 as under:-

Big Cities of Sindh under jurisdiction of metropolitan/ municipal corporations
45% of the minimum of Basic Pay Scale 2008
Increase in the amount of House Rent Allowance @ 50% of the existing amounts being drawn
Other Cities
30% of the minimum of Basic Pay Scale 2008
Increase in the amount of House Rent Allowance @ 50% of the existing amounts being drawn
All other existing terms & conditions regulating the House Rent Allowance will continue to apply.

It is to mention here that Federal Government has also increase House Rent Allowance at the same rates as the Sindh Govt.
