Notification GP Fund Interest Rates Punjab 2017-18

Government of the Punjab, Finance Department has issued Notification on 07-08-2018 in connection with GP Fund Interest Rates Punjab 2017-18. Detail is as under:

I am directed to refer to this department`s letter of even number dated August 21, 2017 on the subject cited above and state that it has been decided that the rate of profit of 11.70% per annum, will apply during the financial year 2017-2018, to the State Provident Fund i.e. General Provident Fund. This rate, however, would not apply in the case of subscribers who are entitled, under the rules of a particular fund, to different rate of interest.

It is to mention here that GP Fund Interest Rates 2017-18 has also been issued by the Federal Govt.

  • if the deduction of GP fund is missing for 05-years (in the middle of service period) and then the deduction continues for the remaining years of service. Mean the deduction of 05- years is missing without unknown reasons. what the rule says for this case ? Please explain it. it is my request.

    • I think there is no issue. The balance of the GP Fund will be calculated for the period, the GP Fund deducted.
