Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administration Department (Regulation Wing) has issued Notification on 15-01-2019 in connection with Amendment in Promotion Policy 2010. Detail is as under:

2.   In order to further streamline the matters pertaining to promotion of Government employees, the Chief Minister has been pleased to approve the amendment in para 9(1)(iv) of the Promotion Policy 2010 as under:  

“Para 9(1) (iv)

Disciplinary proceedings, anti-corruption, or other enquiries or criminal cases are pending against him. However, preliminary inquiry/prove in the department or complaint pending with Anti-Corruption Establishment shall not be considered as a cause of deferment. Only in case of registration of FIR in Anti-Corruption the concerned civil servants may be deferred for promotion.”

3.  Further necessary action may be taken accordingly.
