Government of the Punjab, School Education Department has issued letter on 17-04-2019 in connection with Guidance / Interpretation Regarding Para 4(2) (C) of Recruitment Policy 2016-17. Detail is as under:

I am directed to refer to your letter No.3763/Lit dated 11.04.2019 on the subject cited above and to state that under Rule 3IV) of the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age limit) Rules, 1976 read with amendment in Contract Recruitment Policy, 2004 vide No.DS(O&M)5-3/2001/Contract(MF) dated 19.01.2012 passed by S&GAD, Govt. of the        the expression “in service candidates” in Para 4 (2) (C) of the Recruitment Policy, 2016-17 means both contract and regular in-service candidates.   

2.   In view of the above, the contract service is also included towards service rendered by the in-service candidate for age-relaxation.
