Government of Pakistan, Finance Division has issued Notification No. F.8(1)GS-I/2007-1082 dated 10-08-2016 in connection with Mark Up Rates GP Fund 2015-16.
According to this Notification the mark up rates on State Provident Fund i.e General Provident Fund (GP Fund) for the year 2015-16 have been revised. Detail of previous GP Fund Rates and New Rates for the year 2015-16 is as under:
Also, is the deduction of zakat @2.5% on the final payment of GPF mandatory? Can’t one get an exemption from this and pay zakat himself, as in the case of our bank account deposits/ balances?
