Government of the Punjab, Finance Department has issued Notification No. FD.PR.6-3/2002 dated 11-08-2017 in connection with Enhancement Punjab Police Salary Package. Detail is as under:

Kindly refer to the summary for Chief Minister, initiated by the Police Department, on the subject cited above.

2. In pursuance of approval of Chief Minister, Finance Department conveys its concurrence to the following:

Abolishment Risk Allowance

• Risk Allowance, being drawn by the Police force, is abolished w.e.f. 30.06.2017.

Police Law and Order Allowance

• A new allowance titled as “Police Law and Order Allowance”, at the rate of Risk Allowance as on 30.06.2017, is granted w.e.f. 01.07.2017.

Fixed Daily Allowance (FDA)

• Fixed Daily Allowance (FDA), as was admissible on 30.06.2017, will continue on the same rates w.e.f. 01.07.2017.

3. The above allowances will not be admissible to the following officers/officials:

(i) Under suspension.

(ii) Who have been made OSDs on the charge of inefficiency/ misconduct or indiscipline.

(iii)  Who have been directed to report to Police Lines/police Headquarters/ S&GAD for inefficiency/misconduct/indiscipline on poor performance of duties.

(iv) When officer/official is on leave for four month or more, extraordinary leave, study leave or training (local/abroad).

(v) Who are not working in the Police Department.

(vi) Who are waiting for posting other than those alrrady mentioned above.

4. The “Police Law and Order Allowance” will not be admissible to the employees of City Traffic Police 9Ctp) and Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP).
