Government of the Punjab, Local Government & Community Development Department has issued Notification on 19-07-2018 in connection with Weather Forecast Election Day 25th July 2018. Detail is as under:
I am directed to refer to the subject and to state that Pakistan Metrological Department has forecasted likelihood of rainfall on 25th July, 2018 – Election Day. The rainfall can create problems for voters, administration and security personnel, especially where improvised polling stations are being established. It will, therefore, be imperative to devise effective contingency plans to ensure smooth conduct of elections.
In view of above, it is requested that effective alternative / contingent plans on the subject issue may also kindly be prepared in consultation with Provincial Election Commission and all concerned departments, agencies and institutions.
