Notification of Implementation of SOPs of Inter City Public Transport in Punjab

Office of the Chairman Punjab Provincial Transport Authority has issued Notification on 17-05-2020 in connection with the Implementation of SOPs of Inter City Public Transport in Punjab. The details of the same are as under:

 

SOPs of Inter City Public Transport in Punjab

 

The Government of Punjab has decided to allow the resuming of inter-city bus operations to cope with the transportation needs of the general public with strict observance of the approved SOPs and reduced transport fares to trickle down the benefit of reduction to fuel prices to traveling masses.

  1. A/C Public Transport fares will be reduced @ 20% of the existing fares whereas Non AC Public fares will be reduced from 93 paisa to 78 paisa per kilometer as per notification (Copy enclosed).

SOPs to be observed:-

 

  1. FOR BUSES AND MINIBUSSES:

 

  • Maintaining social distancing (3ft) while boarding/ alighting the buses.
  • In case of a single door, the vehicle allows the rear door for the boarding and front door for the alighting of passengers to avoid physical contact.
  • Disinfection of buses after completion of every trip.
  • Disinfection of buses after completion of every trip.
  • Windows to open for ventilation of air.
  • Availability of hand sanitizer at the terminal and within the vehicle.
  • Any person having fever or frequent coughing they will not allow to board on the vehicle.

 

2.FOR PASSENGERS:

 

  • Wearing a mask and gloves is mandatory.
  • Temperature checking of passengers.
  • Use of tissue or elbow for sneeze or cough.
  • Keep minimum baggage.
  • The adjacent seat of Elderly passengers (above 65 years) they should keep vacant.
