Government of the Punjab, HED and Services & General Administration Department issued a Notification on 07-05-2025 in connection with the Immediate Cancellation of All Kinds of Leaves. The details are as follows:
The following departments of Punjab have issued Notifications for the cancellation of leaves:
- Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department
- Government of the Punjab Service & General Administration Department (Implementation & Coordination Wing)
Immediate Cancellation of All Kinds of Leaves (HED)
No.SO(EM-I)MISC/2025. In Pursuance of letter No.SO(I&C-I)5-19 /2025 dated 7th May 2025 issued by Govt. of the Punjab, Service & General Administration Department (Implementation & Coordination Wing), all sanctioned leaves of the officers working under Higher Education Department (except Maternity Leave, Medical Leave, Study Leave and Ex-Pakistan Leave) are hereby cancelled, with immediate effect and no further leave shall be granted, till further orders.
Therefore, all the officers (Male/Female) who were granted leaves other than the above-mentioned categories are hereby directed to report to the respective institutions, immediately, and a compliance report to this effect shall be furnished to this department, today positively.
The Vice Chancellor of all public sector universities working under the Higher Education Department shall accordingly comply with above said instructions for their respective universities and issue notifications in this regard immediately.

As per the Services & General Administration Department, Punjab, I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to convey the instructions of the Authority to cancel all sanctioned leaves within your respective departments with immediate effect and ensure that no further leave is granted till further orders.
