Punjab Govt School Education Department has issued Notification No. SO (A-I) 1-31/2008 dated 6th May 2013 regarding the Election Holidays wef 8-05-2013 to 13-05-2013 in the Punjab Govt schools.
In pursuance of the decision of Government of the Punjab all the Government and Private schools will remain closed wef 8th May 2013 to 13th May 2013 (both days included) for the conduct of General Elections 2013.
During these days teaching and non teaching staff detailed by the Election Commission of Pakistan shall perform their duties at designated polling stations and those who have been placed under category of reserved staff for polling shall also remain available at their place of posting for polling duty.
The remaining staff if any not detailed for election duty or as reserve shall also remain present at their educational institutions /work places for alternative arrangements in case of shortfall of staff.
