Finance Division Regulation Wing, Islamabad has issued Notification No. F.5 (1) R.5/2011- dated 7th May 2013 in connection with the grant of Computer Allowance to the Computer Personal. With refer to the Finance Division’s O.M No. F.20 (4) R-5/90 dated 25-08-1992 about the Computer Allowance, it is clarified in this notification that the Computer Allowance is admissible to the computer personal who fulfills the following conditions.
The Computer Personal should be employed whole timely on Computer; in a full fledged computer center cell managed by a team of computer personal who hold appointments under the prescribed recruitment rules. This computer will not be allowed to the persons who use computer as tool for other works.
There would also be terms and conditions for the same allowance that were mentioned in Para 2 to 11 of the Finance Div O.M mentioned above and that there were amendments in the said notification vide No. 20 (4) R-5/90 dated06-11-1995.
Qualification and training as mentioned in the recruitment rules of the posts is necessary for the personals who were appointed in BPS-15 and below from 01-09-1992. 2nd Class BA degree in Computer Science for Basic Pay Scale 16 and 2nd class MA degree in computer science and above as well as the prescribed experience and and training is necessary for the employee who has been appointed from 01-09-1992 in BPS-16 and above.
