Notification of Enhancement of Upper Wages Ceiling by Sindh Govt

Govt of the Sindh, Labour & Human Resources Department has issued Notification No. L.II-(SESSI)-5-12-91 dated 28th October 2013 in connection with the Enhancement of the Upper Wages Ceiling from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 15,000/- PM.

According to the Notification, With the approval of the Competent Authority (Chief Minister Sindh) and in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 71 of the Provincial Employees Social Security Ordinance 1965, Government of Sindh has reviewed the wages limits specified in clause (f) of Sub-Section 8 of Section 2 of the Ordinance ibid and recommended Enhancement of the Upper Wages Ceiling from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 15,000/- per month.

Therefore in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 71 of the Provincial Employees Social Security Ordinance 1965, it is hereby notified that the monthly wages ceiling enhanced from Rs. 10000/- PM to Rs. 15000/- PM or from Rs. 400/- per day to Rs. 600/- per day for the purpose of levy of contribution, as envisaged under Section-2(8)(f) of the Ordinance ibid.     Current SESSI Upper wage ceiling is Rs. 10,000 not Rs. 15000

    • Dear Asif Ali, yeh term i think is used in Labour Rules but I am not fully aware of its actual spirit.
