Government of the Punjab Services & General Administrations, Department (Regulation Wing) has already issued Notification No. SOR-III(S&GAD) 2-54/2010 dated 20th October 2011 in connection with Amendment in the Service Rules for the Post of Junior Clerk.
According to this Notification, The Governor of the Punjab is pleased to direct that in the Punjab Secretariat (Ministerial Posts) Service Rules 1982, the following amendments shall be made:
In the said Rules, in the Schedule at Serial No. 11, against the post of Junior Clerk (BPS-07) for the existing entries in column No. 5, 7 and 10, the following shall be substituted:

|i- Secondary School Certificate (SSC) second division or equivalent qualification from a recognized boardii- A speed of 25 words per minute in typing on computer in English andiii- Proficient in MS Office or any other concerned office application and shall demonstrate such proficiency.||i- 80% by initial recruitmentii- 20% by promotion on the basis of seniority cum fitness from amongst the employees of all categories from BPS-01 to BPS-04, employees in functional unit whoa- have a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) second division or equivalent qualification from a recognized boardb- have at least 3 years experience as such and|
c- have a speed of 25 words per minute in typing on computer in English
If none is available for promotion then by initial recruitment.
