Medical Treatment Facilities for the Federal Govt Employees in Punjab

Government of the Punjab, Health Department has issued Notification No. SO (PH) 17-1/88 (P-VI) dated 14-11-2014 in connection with Medical Treatment Facilities for the Federal Govt Employees in Punjab.

The Chief Minister Punjab has been pleased to approve the following policy guidelines in order to provide medical treatment facilities to the serving and retired Federal Government Officers and their dependent family members who are settled in the Punjab with immediate effect.

  1. Free medical treatment including OPD, in-patient admission, medication, procedure, radiology, investigation and consultation at Sheikh Zayed Hospital Lahore to serving and retired Govt servants of the Federal Government as was admissible to them before the 18th Amendment.
  2. Retired Officers of PAS and PSP who have served Punjab and have settled in Punjab after retirement will be entitled to free medical treatment including OPD, Indoor, in all the hospitals functioning under the Punjab Govt including Sheikh Zayed Hospital Lahore.

The existing policy of medical re-imbursement will be applicable to Sheikh Zayed Hospital Lahore for the Province Govt Employees as well as the Federal Govt Employees of category mentioned above in para (i) and para (ii) above.

These policy guidelines are applicable from the date of issuance of this Notification.

  1. punjab govt employees are not properly entertained at public hospitals; there must be special facilities for BPS1 TO BPS 22 govt servants like available to WAPDA employees at WAPDA HOSPITAL;
