I am sharing here the Group Insurance Amount Order Sheet LHC Multan Bench issued on 10-01-2020. In the Lahore High Court Multan Bench Multan Judicial Department issued the orders for Case No. W.P No. 131/ 2020 for group insurance on retirement. Detail is as under:
The only prayers of the Petitioners is that the Responds be directed to pay him the group insurance amount as per the judgment dated 03.11.2016 passed by the Peshawar High Court, Peshawar, which was subsequently upheld by the Hon’able Supreme Court of Pakistan in Civil Petition No.11-P of 2017 vide order dated 15.02.2018. Learned counsel submits that the Petitioner has also moved an application dated 03.12.2019 (Annexure-C) before the Respondent No.2 for the redressal of his grievance but the same has not been decided thus far and he would be satisfied if a direction be issued by this Court for expeditious disposal of the said application.
Learned Law Officer has no objection if such direction be issued to the Respondent No.2.
in view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.2 to decide the aforementioned representation of the Petitioner (if pending) after providing proper hearing to all concerned including the Petitioner, strictly in accordance with law, through a speaking order, within a period of one month from the receipt of certified copy of this order.
