Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department has issued a Notification on 21-12-2021 in connection with Winter Vacation 2021 HED Punjab Higher Education Institutions Punjab. The universities and colleges in the province of Punjab will remain closed for winter holidays with effect from 23-12-2021 to 06-12-2022.  The details are as under:

Winter Vacation 2021 HED Punjab (Colleges/Universities)

It is hereby notified that all the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) both in the Public and Private sector under the jurisdiction of Higher Education Department Punjab shall remain closed for winter vacation w.e.f. 23d December 2021 to 6^th January 2022.

2. All the concerned authorities shall ensure 100% vaccination of all teaching and non-teaching staff and students by the opening of Institutions in the wake of the increasing number of Omicron variants of COVID-19. Non-vaccinated teaching, non-teaching staff, and students shall not be allowed to enter their concerned institutions. In case of noncompliance, the authorities concerned shall be held responsible.

Summary of Winter Holidays

As per the summary the students and teachers of universities and colleges in the province of Punjab will get 15 days of winter vacation.

Winter Holidays University of the Punjab

University of the Punjab Record Section has issued a Notice on 21-12-2021 in connection with Winter Holidays University of Punjab.

As provided in the Regulation printed on page No. 548 of the Punjab University Calendar Vol.1 for the year 2002, the winter recess is to be observed from 24^th December 2021 to 7^th January 2022. However, administrative staff will remain on duty as usual.
