Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department issued a letter on 15-07-2022 in connection with Issuance of Policy Conveyance Allowance to Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff During Summer Vacation. The details are as under:
Conveyance Allowance to Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff During Summer Vacation
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to enclose herewith an application submitted by the principal, Govt. graduate college, Gojra wherein he has requested for issuance of directions to the District Accounts Officer, Toba Tek Singh for the payment of conveyance allowance to teaching & non-teaching faculty engaged for BS-Classes during summer vacation.
The request has been examined in the Department and the Competent has directed to issue a policy letter for non-deduction of conveyance allowance for the staff who is attending colleges in the whole of Punjab during summer vacation.
Therefore, I am directed to request you to take necessary actions, immediately as per directions of the competent Authority, under intimation to this department.
This is the right of the teachers who are coming to the colleges to teach the BS classes during the summer holidays. In Federal, even the teaching and non-teaching staff who have vacations, get CA during summer/winter holidays.
