Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a Notification on 14-10-2022 in connection with Winter School Timings 2022 Punjab. The new school timings in Punjab Schools are effective from 17th Oct 2022 till 15th April 2022.

SO(A-I)1-3/2008 (P-I): Consequent upon the approval of the Competent Authority, the following school timings are hereby notified for all Schools in Punjab from 17-10-2022 to 15-01-2023:-

Note:
The Chief Executive Officer (DEA) concerned may make adjustments of the 15-minute gap in the opening and closing time of Boys & Girls Schools on case to case basis.

It is a good timing adjustment during the winter season in Punjab. Private Schools should also adopt the same timings. The early timings start at 7:00 am or 7:30 am are not good for the students, especially during very cold weather and smog conditions. Some private schools adopt these times but it is not fair for the students.
