Notification of Public Holiday on 27th December 2022 (Sindh)

Government of Sindh, Services. General Administration and Coord Department issued a Notification on 20-12-2022 in connection with Public Holiday on 27th December 2022 in Sindh Province. The details are as under:

According to the Notification, Sindh Government employees and the public will observe a general Holiday on 27-12-2022 on the occasion of the anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. The said holiday is only in the province of Sindh.

The essential service and those engaged in the COVID-19 emergency the Government will not close. The flood relief duties also shall not be suspended in any case. The authorities concerning to essential services,  COVID-19 emergency, and Flood Relief activities shall have to be engaged as usual. They shall perform the activities as per their schedule.

 

Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Day

One more important day in the history of Pakistan is 27th December.  This day is one of the saddest days in the history of Pakistan.  On this day, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed died in an attack. Sindh remembers her as she was a native of Sindh.  She worked for Sindh and supported her people of Sindh on every step. They remember her for her valuable efforts for Sindh and her sacrifice for the country.  On the day of the death of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed,  Sindh Government declares Public Holiday around the Province.  On this day, all those government, semi-Goverment, and Private institutions shall remain closed and are not closing for Winter vacations.  It is a holiday on 27th December for all offices, autonomous,  Semi-Autonomous bodies, Corporations, and Local Councils under the Administrative control of the Government of Sindh.

Federal Government has already announced the Public Holidays 2022 in Pakistan and Sindh Government also issued its own holidays in 2022.
