The Government of Punjab, Finance Department issued a Notification on 05-01-2022 in connection with Increase Civil Secretariat Allowance @ 100% of Running Basic Pay 2022 BPS. The details are as under:
Increase Civil Secretariat Allowance @ 100% of Running Basic Pay
The Heading of the Notification says enhancement in Civil Secretariat Allowance from 50% to 100% of monthly basic pay of BPS-2022 to the employees of the following offices:
Civil Secretariat Employees
Governor House / Secretariat Employees
Chief Minister Office Employees
I am directed to refer to the finance department’s notification bearing No. FD.PR. 9-7/2019 dated 21-22-2022 on the subject noted above and to state that the government of Punjab has enhanced the rates of Civil Screatraiat Allowance from 50% to 100% of monthly basic pay of Govorner’s House/ Secretariat and the Chief Minister’s Office, who are drawing their pay form the payroll of Civil Secreatriayt Department. The office of Controller General of Accounts, the government of Pakistan has initiated the following head of account, already available in the chart of accounts, which can be used for the payment of civil Secretariat allowance@100%.
These types of allowances encourage the employees to work hard and with more zeal and zest. Such types of allowances minimize the financial hardships of the employees. Punjab Government should also think that there are thousands of other employees working in Punjab. They have also financial issues. These employees also need such type of allowances so that their hardships minimize too.
