Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority issued a Notification on 22-03-2023 in connection with Revised Rates Shift Allowance 2023 for BPS-01 to BPS-16 WAPDA. The details are as under:

The Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority is a state-owned Organization of Pakistan that is responsible for maintaining water and power in Pakistan. Subsidiary and Supply companies of WAPDA Pakistan are including GEPCO, MEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, FESCO, LESCO, NTDCL, IESCO, SEPCO, and PEPCO.
Revision in Shift Allowance
Developmental Authority approves revised shift allowance. This allowance is allotted to subcategories as under:
- Security Staff
- Hydel Power Houses
- Ac Plant
- Telephone Exchange Staff.
The change in shift allowed makes significant changes in value.
Existing and Revised Rates of SA

Security Staff Duty
Handling and custody of classified documents, checking the identity of visitors, custody of keys, and arrangement of security of the office after office hours is the responsibility of the concerned Security officer.
Hydel Plant staff:
The primary role of WAPDA is to harness water and hydropower resources in the country to generate and provide clean and affordable electricity.
Telephone Exchange Staff
Telephone exchange acts as monitoring and control of customer services. Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution. Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents. Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies. Take the extra mile to engage customers.
Ac Plant Managing Staff
This staff works to:
- Install, maintain, repair, and service heating.
- Manage ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
- Use and operate equipment and tools used in maintaining HVAC equipment in a safe and effective manner.
