Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a letter on 11-08-2023 in connection with Conveyance Allowance for Teachers during Vacation SED Punjab. The details are as under:
Payment of Conveyance Allowance for Teachers during Vacation
The government of Punjab’s school education department issued a notification on 11th August 2023. The notification is for all the chief executive officers in Punjab. The subject of the notification is the payment of conveyance allowance to the employees and civil servants of the school education department in Punjab. The payment is for the period of summer as well as winter vacations and reimbursement of already deductive conveyance allowance during the summer and winter vacations.
The section officer refers to the subject and encloses the copy of the application dated on 2nd February 2023. The application was received from the President Punjab Teacher Union District Murree. All the employees of the education department remain on call for any duty during the summer or winter vacations. They also never demand summer and winter vacations. It is always the order of the government of Pakistan to provide such vacations to the students and the teachers on the basis of weather conditions. Furthermore, the school education department never asks to stop or deduct the payment of conveyance allowance to the civil servants during the vacations. So he makes a request to the government to reimburse all the amount of conveyance allowance already deducted.
Request to Stop Deduction of CA During the Summer and Winter Holidays
Every year government of Pakistan provides 2.5 months of Summer Vacations and almost 10 to 15 days of winter vacations to all employees working in the school education department. But during these vacations sometimes the government arranges some training and assigns other duties to the employees. The department can call any employee for any duty.
So, all the civil servants and employees working in the school education department have full rights to get their full conveyance allowance during the summer or winter vacations.
He also requests to ensure that conveyance allowance may not be deducted from the pay of employees who are always ready for any duty during the vacations.
