The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued a Notification on 01-02-2023 in connection with Election Public Holiday 2024. The details are as under:
General Election Public Holiday 2024 by ECP
In this regard, the Election Commission of Pakistan has issued Notification No(1)2024-cod-vol-III dated 1st Feb 2024. According to the Notification, in the exercise of powers conferred under article 218 of the constitution read with sections (4) and 8(C) of the Election Act 2017 (act no. xxxiii of 2017), and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the election commission of Pakistan is pleased to declare General holiday on 08th February 2024 in the country in order to enable the voters to exercise their right of franchise and conveniently. By order of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The above orders are for the General Public. The Punjab Government has already announced 4 holidays on the occasion of the election 2024 for schools, colleges and universities. Punjab Government issued Notification Election Holidays 2024 wef 6th Feb to 9th Feb 2024. The Sindh Government also announced the same schedule in the province. The Government of Sindh will issue the Notification soon. The Federal Government will also issue the Notification in a couple of days.
