Government of the Punjab, Services, and General Administration Department issued a Notification on 27-03-2024 in connection with a Public Holiday on 1st April 2024 in Punjab due to the Day after Easter for the Christian Community only. So the employees belonging to the Christian Community will observe a public holiday on 01-04-2024 (Monday) throughout the Punjab province.

No. SOW-I (S&GAD)1-3 / 2008 (P-IV): in pursuance of decision taken in the 4th meeting of the Punjab Cabinet dated 26-03-2024 and notification of this officer of even No, dated 26-12-2023 specifying Public and Optional Holidays for the year 2024, it is notified for general information that a public Holiday shall be observed on 1st April 2024 (Monday) on account of the “Day after Easter” on for Christian Community thought out the province if the Punjab.
The above Notification may be published in all major English and Urdu Dallies both at the national and regional Levels and also be given wide publicity through electronic media.
The Punjab government has not yet issued the Notification of Spring Holidays 2024, however, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department issued the Notification Spring Vacation 2024 in KPK for schools.
