The Transport and Mass Transit Department, Government of Sindh, is taking a significant step towards providing respectable and convenient transportation for women. Under this scheme, free electric scooters will be distributed among deserving women of Sindh province.
Basic Terms to Get a Free Scooty
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Sindh province.
- The applicant must be employed or a student.
- The applicant must possess a motorcycle or car driving license.
- Successful women on the ballot will have to submit a fitness certificate.
- The applicant must have completed at least 7 years of schooling and must not sell or rent out the scooter.
Free Driving Training Program for Women in Sindh
The Sindh Mass Transit Authority, Government of Sindh, is offering a free driving training program for women across Sindh, so that women can be provided with complete driving training.
Rules for the Provision of Scooties
- The distribution of E-scooties will be done through a transparent balloting process, the schedule of which will be made available in print and electronic media.
- To ensure transparency in the balloting process, a committee will be formed.
Before this Punjab Government had also announced the Scootoes for Women in Punjab on Installments, and now the Sindh Government has launched the scooties program for female workers and students.
