I am sharing the demand to increase the Conveyance Allowance for government employees in Budget 2025-26. The demand of the employees is guaranteed, and the Government should consider the request of the employees. The maximum conveyance allowance the employees are getting is Rs. 5000/—per month, while the minimum conveyance expenses the employees are bearing are more than 10,000/- per month.

Government Employees Demand to Increase Conveyance Allowance in Budget 2025-26

The Federal Government is presenting the annual budget 2025-26 during the 1^st week of June 2025. The Federal Government has issued the tentative date of announcement budget 2025-26 as it is already been notified by the Finance Division. The employees are looking to the Government to do a favour for them. They are facing many issues with pay and allowances. The main demands of the employees are as follows:

• Increase in Conveyance Allowance
• Medical Allowance increase
• House Rent Allowance
• Grant of Disparity Reduction Allowance 2025
• Merging of Adhoc Relief Allowance 2023, 2024, and hence issuing of Revised Pay Scales 2025

Now, today we will discuss in detail the Conveyance Allowance, as we have already discussed in detail the demand to increase House Rent Allowance 2025 for the Government employees.

Current Rates of Conveyance Allowance for Government Employees

The Finance Division Government of Pakistan issued the latest Notification of Increase in Conveyance Allowance 2014 on 7^th July 2014. After that, the Finance Division has not increased in conveyance allowance till today. Currently, the Government employees are getting the CA at the following rates:

Monthly Actual Expenditures of the Conveyance Expenses

The employees travel daily average of 10 to 20 Kilometers daily to reach their place of duty and back home. They have different modes of travelling. Employees of BPS-01 to BPS-15 usually travel on their bikes. The bike traveler consumes nearly a liter of petrol daily, which costs about 260/- rupees daily. The monthly cost for the same is about Rs. 6,500/-. While the CA the employees getting for the BPS-01 to BPS-15 employees is Rs. 1785/- to 2856/- per month. They also bear the maintenance expenses for their bikes.

               The employees of BPS-16 and above mostly use their cars to travel to their workplaces. They use an average of 2 liters of petrol daily, which costs Rs. 520/- daily and 11,264/- monthly. The repair and maintenance of the vehicle are on the other side.

There is another category of employees who use daily public and private conveyances. The females especially use rickshaws and hire private taxis for their conveyance, which is too costly. They have to pay even more than 20,000/- per month for the conveyance expenses.

How Much Conveyance Allowance Should Increase?

Keeping in view the actual expenses on the conveyance, the Government should minimum increase the conveyance allowance at the following rates:
