The KPK Finance Department has uploaded the revised speech copy mentioning KPK Revised 30% Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA). The KPK employees who are not getting any special allowance will now get 30% DRA instead of the 15% DRA that the Government granted in 2022. The details are as follows:
As per the amended budget speech copy the employees of KPK who are already getting DRA-2022 KPK will now get the same DRA with revised rates of 30% instead of 15%. The employees of KPK will get this DRA with revised rates with effect from 1st July 2025.
KPK Employees and Revised Disparity Reduction
The KPK Employees are now happy with the revised rates of DRA However, they request the KP Government to grant the DRA at the same pattern as the Federal. The Federal Government has granted a fresh DRA 2025 @ 30%. While the KP Government increased the previous DRA-2022. However, the employees will get the clarification after the issuance of the Notifications by the Federal Government and the KPK Government.
Other Packages of KP Govt Announced in Budget 2025-26
The KP Government announced the following other packages for employees and pensioners:
Increase in Basic Pay @ 10% (Wrongly mentioned basic pay)
7% increase in pension for the retired employees
Minimum wage rates increase from Rs. 36,000/- per month to Rs. 40,000/- per month.
Important Point: Basic Pay Scales Changes
If we look at the first point of the relief package. It shows that the KPK Government has enhanced the Basic Pay of the employees. It means the Government revised the Basic Pay Scales. Basic Pay only changes when the Government revises the pay scales. I think it is mistakenly mentioned. Pay scales were only revised in the past when the Federal Government revised them.
