I am sharing the Latest News Updates of the Increase in the Rental Ceiling of for hiring federal Government Employees. As per the news updates, the Ministry of Housing and Works has submitted the summary to the Finance Division for approval. The Rental ceiling of hiring is for those employees who are living in 6 specified cities and performing their duties in these cities. The details are as follows:

 

New News Updates of the Increase in Rental Ceiling for Hiring Government Employees

 

According to the Daily Express dated 17 Aug 2025, the Ministry of Housing & Works has again resubmitted the summary for approval of the Finance Division, Government of Pakistan. This summary was already submitted three weeks ago, but as per the news, it was returned with some points/observations.

               In this summary, it is recommended to revise the housing rental ceiling for hiring to increase in light of the report of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The Federal Government has not increased the hiring rates for four years. The house owners have increased the rates of houses for rent. The employees request the Government to increase the rates of housing hiring without any delay, as the Government increased the rates in 2021.
