Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Finance issued a Notification on 19-08-2025 in connection with Deduction Salary Federal Govt Employees for the PM Relief Fund for Flood. The details are as follows:
Deduction Salary Federal Govt Employees for PM Relief Fund for Flood
The undersigned is directed to state that the recent flood by monsoon rains has caused significant human and livestock casualties as well as widespread damage to private and public infrastructure. Damage to infrastructure has worsened the humanitarian situation. For a collective national effort to meet the challenge of providing relief and rehabilitation to the affected population, Finance Division created a Fund “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Flood, Earthquake and Other Calamities”. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has directed the deduction of salary (Gross Pay & Allowances before any deductions) as under:-
Details of Pay and Allowances Deduction
- Cabinet Members will contribute one month’s Salary to the PM Relief Fund.
- The federal bureaucracy, i.e., BPS: 19-22, will donate one day’s salary to the PM Relief Fund.
- The amount of contribution shall not be included in the emoluments of the officers/officials concerned for the calculation of income tax and deduction of the recovery of the House Rent Charges.
- All proceeds received in the name of the Fund will be credited to the public account of the Federal Government under the following head of account:
G12 – Special Deposit Funds
G121 – Relief Fund
G12164 – Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Flood, Earthquake, and other Calamities
4. It is requested that the above decisions may kindly be implemented in letter and spirit under intimation to this Division.
Amendment in Notification
The Ministry of Finance also issued the notification on the same date, i.e, 19-08-2025, for an amendment in the above Notification. The contents of the amendment are as follows:
In partial modification to the Finance Division’s OM of even number dated 19-08-2025 on the above captioned subject.
Para-1(i) of above above-referred OM of this Division, “Cabinet Members will contribute one month’s Salary to PM Relief Fund,” may be treated as withdrawn.
