Notification of Family pension to the wife / equally divided between more than one wife.

 

Notification No: No. FD.SR-III-4/2023.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 2974 (VIII of 1974), the Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make the following amendments in the Punjab Civil Services Pension Rules, with effect from 02-12-2024:

Amendment

In the Punjab Civil Services Pension Rules, Chapter IV – Amount of Ordinary Pensions, Section III-C-Family Pension, the existing rules 4.10 (1) shall be substituted as under:

 

A family pension sanctioned under this rule shall be admissible to the extent of the spouse for life or till remarriage:

Provided further that in I case a Government Servant had more than one wives, the pension shall be divided equally among the window:,

1. Additional Chief Secretary, South Punjab.
2. All administrative Secretaries to the Government of the Punjab.
3. The Secretary to the Governor, Punjab, Lahore.
4. The Secretary to the Chief Minister, Punjab, Lahore.
5. The Military Secretary to the Governor, Punjab, Lahore.
6. All Commissioners in the Punjab.
