Punjab Government has launched the E-Taxi Scheme with an Easy Installment Plan and Interest Free. The willing persons can get the e-taxi without any interest, a 5-year easy installment plan, and free vehicle registration with the facility of token tax. Initially, the scheme was launched in Lahore, and it will later be available to all of Punjab. The details are as follows:

Launch of e-taxi scheme

 

In Lahore, they are under the first phase. Supply of 1100 electric taxis. Interest-free 5-year easy monthly installments, free vehicle registration, and token tax facility. On behalf of the Government of Punjab, a 3.5 billion rupee Subsidy. For the corporate sector, it is mandatory to select at least 10 vehicles per operator. “The government will pay some Equity payment  amount as a down payment.”

 

1. Candidates will also have to choose from the vehicles available on the portal.
2. This loan is available for vehicles up to 165 TL. In case of an excess value of the vehicle, the applicant will have to pay the amount above 6.5 million TL himself.
3. To apply, a valid driving license from any of the HTV LTV is required.
4. One person can only submit one application.
5. The applicant’s age must be between 21 and 55 years.

The Punjab government issues a special discount on the down payment

• For Individual Operator

1. Female applicants: 60
2. Male applicants: 50%

• For the carport sector

1. 50 to 10 for car choice: 40%
2. On selection of more than 50 vehicles: 30%
