Government of the Punjab Finance Department issued a Notification on 19-09-2025 in connection with Revised Leave Rules 1981, Punjab (LPR, Refusal LPR Authorities) 2025. The details are as follows:

As per the Notification No.FD.SR.II/2-97/2019 dated 19th Sep 2025 and in exercise of the powers conferred under section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974 (VIII of 1974), the Governor of the Punjab is pleased to make the following amendments in the Revised Leave Rules, 1981, with immediate effect:
AMENDMENTS
In the Revised Leave Rules, 1981:
(1) In rule 17, in sub-rule (7), for the words “Appointing Authority”, occurring twice, the words “Authorities mentioned in rule 18” shall be substituted.
(2) In rule 18:
(a) in the heading, after the words “Power to”, the words “sanction and” shall be inserted; and
(b) for sub-rule (2), the following shall be substituted:
“(2) All orders sanctioning leave preparatory to retirement to a civil servant and all orders refusing leave preparatory to retirement to a civil servant and recalling a civil servant from leave preparatory to retirement shall be passed only by the authority specified below:
