I am sharing the details of the Green Property Certificate for Public and Private Sector Property in Punjab. The Punjab Government is starting this green certificate scheme from Sialkot City.

PLR Green Property Certificate for Public and Private Sector Property in Punjab

Public Sector Property here means Cooperative & Development Authorities, and Private Sector Properties means the Private Housing Sector. Initially, in Sialkot city, and applicable to all Punjab agricultural, residential, commercial, and semi-commercial properties.

This step marks a first in the history of Punjab, spanning from 1540 (Sher Shah Suri’s rule) to 2025 (the current period).

To obtain a certificate, there is no fee for the survey for the first month.

Benefits of a Certificate

  • One Certificate in both English and Urdu Languages
  • Linked data with the NADRA System
  • Helpful to get a loan from a bank at a low markup
  • Facility of the electronic Registry
  • Surety of fairness in property records
  • Property record linked with the latest digital map
  • Ease in property sale and purchase

How to Get a GPC?

To get the Green Property Certificate, visit the nearest Land Record Center (LRC). In any complaint, the applicant can complain at 042-37882072 or email at [email protected]

This is a good step by the Government of Punjab. This step can bring fairness to the land record/property record. The Green Property certificate holders will have many benefits as mentioned above, especially at low markup rates for loans from banks to build the property and for other purposes.

Punjab Land Record Authority is also taking many other steps, especially there is a recent announcement for facilities for overseas Pakistanis by PLRA, which is really a good initiative.
