I am sharing the details of the Comparison of HRA and Rental Ceiling of Hiring Rates for the Federal Government employees. The Federal Government has recently issued the Notification increase in Rental Ceiling of Hiring 2025 for Federal Government employees. The details are as follows:

Huge Difference in Amount for HRA and Rental Ceiling of Hiring
If we look at the above chart of comparison of HRA and Rental Ceiling of Hiring amounts, we see a huge difference in the same pay scale and living at the same station for employees. Many employees are living in Islamabad, but they are not getting the Rental Ceiling of Hiring. The employees getting HRA and Rental Ceiling of Hiring are living in the same city and the same place, but if we compare for BPS-16, one is getting House Rent Allowance 4091/-, while the other employee is getting 57507/-. Thus, the 2nd employee is getting Rs. 54780/- more than the 1st one. The same situation is for all other Basic Pay Scale Employees.
Is it Possible to rent a House for 1337/- or 5810/-
Is it possible to get a house on rent @ 1337/- per month in any city of Pakistan? The BPS-18 employee is getting HRA @ 5810/-. Is it still possible for him to get a house on rent with this meagre amount? If we look at the reality, it is not possible to get a house even for one day at this meagre amount.
Request to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Enhance House Rent Allowance
All Government employees of the Federal and Provincial Governments request the Prime Minister of Pakistan to take action against the injustice being inflicted on all other employees. The PM should consider the request of all other employees to give a favour to increase the HRA for the employees. The HRA should be increased minimum of 45% of the initial 2022 Pay Scales. The last time the Government increased HRA was in 2018 on the basis of the 2008 Basic Pay Scales. At the same time, the hiring rates have increased many times since 2008.
