Government of the Punjab, School Education Department issued a Notification on 01-04-2026 in connection with Revised School Timings wef 1st April 2026. The Punjab Government has already issued the Notification for 4 working days a week and Friday Off. The details are as follows:

Details of the Notification
As per the Notification of SED Punjab, in pursuance of approval of the Competent Authority, it is hereby notified that all Public & Private Schools across Punjab shall remain closed on Friday till further orders.
It is further notified that school timings (opening & closing hours) in public schools shall be observed as follows:

| Monday to Thursday | 8:00 am to 1:30 pm | Single Shift |
| Monday to Thursday | 8:00 am to 12:30 pm (Morning shift) | Double shift |
| Monday to Thursday | 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm (Evening shift) | Afternoon Schools |
All Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) in Punjab shall ensure compliance of the directions in letter & spirit.
