Office of the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues, Islamabad has issued a letter on 21-03-2019 in connection with the No Succession Certificate for Family Pension. The details are as under:
In terms of Finance Division (Regulations Wing) letter No. 1(13)-Reg.6/83 dated 23..10.1983, family pension is authorized to the eligible family member of the deceased employee. It may be noted that a succession certificate is not a requirement for the finalization of family pension. However, it has been observed that departments demand succession certificates from pensioners. Therefore, it is requested that a circular may be issued to all Ministries/ Divisions/ Departments to forward complete family pension cases to this office for finalization without an SC from the court. However, other required documents are to be furnished.
