It is to inform the general public that the Government has announced a Local Holiday on 11 April 2026 (Saturday) Rawalpindi / Islamabad Districts. Offices of the Deputy Commissioners Rawalpindi and Islamabad have issued their notifications on 10-04-2026. The details are as follows:
Local Holiday on 11 April 2026 (Saturday) Rawalpindi / Islamabad
There is a public holiday in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, the twin cities, due to the current Islamabad Peace Talks on the Iran/USA War in progress in the Capital of Pakistan.
Rawalpindi District
As per the Notification of the DC Rawalpindi, the public will have a local holiday within the territorial jurisdiction of Rawalpindi District on 11th April 2026. However, all emergency dealing departments/institutions/authorities shall remain open on Saturday.
Islamabad District
In the same way, the District Magistrate ICT has also issued the Notification on 10-04-2026 for a local holiday in Islamabad on Saturday, the 11th April 2026.
It is to mention here that ICT had already announced a holiday on 9th and 10th April 2026 in Islamabad. Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi had also announced these two holidays.
