Announcement Extension Winter Vacation 2026 in Punjab Schools / Colleges
The Government of the Punjab School Education Department has announced the Extension of the Winter Vacation 2026 in Punjab schools and colleges. The Higher Education Department will also announce the same. As per the Education Minister of Punjab, the Punjab Govt and Private Schools will remain closed till 19th January 2026 instead of 11th January 2026.
Will schools and Colleges in Punjab open on 12th January or 19th January?
I am sharing the latest update on the reopening of schools in Punjab after the winter vacation of 2026. As per the Survey shared by Rana Skindar Hayat, Provincial Education Minister of Punjab, 88% Teachers/ students and parent voters voted to open the school on 19th January 2026, while only 12% voters voted to open the school/ colleges on 12th January.
