I am going to tell you an important topic of resignation from Govt service. Many employees who find other jobs and they cannot continue their service are in a habitual of leaving the department without proper procedure this may cause a great penalty for such employees. This is also a violation of rules. I am going to inform you that there are two categories of employees. The first ones are those who are at their probation period and the other ones are those who have gone through the period of probation and they have become permanent. I will discuss all these categories in detail:
GP Fund Interest Rates for the Year 2011-12 Announced
The General Provident Fund Interest Rates for the financial year 2011-12 has been announced by the Finance Division Regulation Wing vide No. F.2 (1)-Reg.7/2010-302 dated 31st July 2012. The rates on deposits and balances at the credit of the subscribers for the financial year 2010-2011 were 14.20 % per annum. It has now been decided that the rates of profit applicable to the subscribers and the balances in the various Provident Fund during the financial year beginning on the 1st July 2011 shall be 13.70 % per annum. Unified Pay Scales, Housing Monetization & Conveyance Packages for Employees
According to the Daily Times dated 04-10-2012 page number 7 a great package of Pay and Allowances is to soon finalized and announced soon by the Federal Govt. The case of finalizing the pay and allowances packages for the Federal Govt Employees is under process in the Ministry of Finance. This package will be presented before the Prime Minister on Friday dated 05-10-2012 for initial approval. Unified Pay Scales, Monetization of Housing Facility and Monetization of Conveyance are included in this package. The salient features of these packages are as under:
Recording of the Date of Birth of Govt Employee
Some times there is confusion at the time of recording of Date of Birth of an employee when there is no clear date of birth of the employee. Some time only year is known not the exact date of birth. This is really a great confusion matter especially at the time of retirement of the employee. Just think if the date of birth of an employee written in service book is 1970, then at what date the employee should retire? There are rules for the Govt in this matter. These rules for recording Date of Birth of an Employee are as under:
Notification of Promotion of SSTs
The Govt of Punjab has promoted 183 male and 170 female SSTs from BPS-16 to BPS-17 as Headmasters/Deputy Headmasters with immediate effect vide Notification No. SO(S-VI) 6-12/2012 dated 27th September 2012. This is the result of the approval of the promotion committee whose meeting was held 8th, 9th and 10th August 2012.

Punjab Youth Internship Programme
The chief minister of Punjab Mr. Shahbaz Sharif has announced the Internship Programme for the youngest of the Punjab. These youngsters will be appointed in various Govt and Private Institutions of Punjab. Minimum qualification for the said purpose is graduation.
