Punjab Govt Services and General Administration Department has issued Notification No. SOW-I (S & GAD) 1-3/2008 (P-II) dated 7th May 2013 in connection with the General Holiday in Punjab Province in connection with the upcoming election 2013.
This notification will not apply to the Departments/Institutions providing essential services i.e Health facilities, Food Department, Police, Rescue 1122, TMAs, WASAs etc and the staff of different departments, placed at the disposal of the Election Commission of Pakistan and deputed for election duties.
Further the notification will not apply on the private schools engaged in conducting examinations, subject to the condition that the duties assigned by ECP to their staff, if any, are strictly observed and their premises, if designated as polling station, are provided for smooth functioning of elections 2013.
