Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division ha issued Notification No. 8/10/2013-E-2 (Pt) dated 04-12-2015 in connection with Revised Notification of Assistance Package.
Prime Minister of Pakistan has been pleased to approve the revised assistance package for the Government employees who die while in service with effect from 9th February 2015. The following package is announced vide this letter:
Lump Sum Grant
100% pension
Accommodation
Education
Allotment of plot in shape of payment
Employment on contract basis for two years
Marriage Grant
Health Facilities
Waived off HBA
Special Lump Sum Grant from Benevolent Fund

All affected families should do a case in courts against this discrmination in wafaqi mihtasib or in islamabad high courts to get thier due benefits .

In my opinion
Revised rates of Marriage grant and Educational allowances would be applicable on the persons who died before 09-02-2015. You could check the references of this letter (issued in 2006 to own word).
My father was died in 2009. He was in Federal services. Marriage of my sister will be in 2016. So the amount of marriage grant is revised, I think she will be paid as per revised rates.

Dear waqar it is not for Punjab Govt Employees.
The previous notification was issued on 20th oct 2014 ..Its not fair that this will be applicable from 9 feb 2015 it should also be applicable from 20th oct 2014

I want to state that my father was government employee who died in 18-12-2014. We didn’t get any benefits because the family assistant package was also on hold. We were waiting for the package.But when the package is revised we are not able avail the benefits because it will be effected from 9-2-2015. Now What should we do?
