Government of Sindh, Finance Department has issued Notification on 18-01-2020 in connection with Deduction of Employees Salaries for Corona Virus Emergency Fund (CEF) Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). Details are as under:
The undersigned is directed to state that it has been decided by the Government of Sindh to Establish “Coronavirus Emergency Fund (CEF)” to help out the affected patients of this pandemic in the province of Sindh. The details of this CEF are as under:

In this regard, the deduction on account of contribution will be made at source from the salaries of the officers / officials from the month of March 2020 in advance and will be deposited in Govt of Sindh CEF at the rates given below:

FD has submitted letter to concerned offices. Special thanks to Mr. Muhammad Bux Saleem Khaskheli who sent the copy of the Notification of Deduction of Employees Salaries for Corona Virus Emergency Fund (CEF).
In continuation of this department’s letter of even number dated 18-03-2020, I am directed to clarify that the deduction against Coronavirus Emergency Fund (CEF) is to be made on the Net salary for the month of March, 2020. Excluding the amount of arrears, if any, are being paid in the month of March, 2020.
