Promotion Criteria 2020 BBISE Class 9th & 11th to 10th & 12th

Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Quetta has issued Notification on 21-07-2020 in connection with Promotion Criteria 2020 BBISE Class 9^th & 11^{th to} 10^th & 12^th.

On the recommendation of 17^th Meeting of Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) held on 14^th May 2020 and with the prior approval of the Competent Authority, the Balochistan Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BBISE) Quetta is pleased to notify the promotion criteria of the students from 9^th to 10^th and 11^th to 12^th respectively in the wake of ongoing pandemic COVID-19 as following;

Promotion Criteria 2020 BBISE Class 9th & 11th to 10th & 12th

All Grade 9^th and 11^th students are promoted to grade 10^th and 12^th respectively;
Students promoted to grade 10^th and 12^th will not take a composite exam in 2021.

Thus, they will not be taking grade 9^th and 11^th exam but only b required to appear for the examination of grade 10^th and 12^th. The grade 9^th and 11^th scores will be calculated based on their grade 10^th and 12^th performance in 2021;

Grade 10^th and 12^th students, who had passed all subjects required in grade 9^th and 11^th, will pass grade 10^th and 12^th examination based on their grade 9^th and 11^th performance, All these students will get an additional 3% marks added to their total marks based of the previous examination;

The students appearing in grade 10^th and 12^th examinations who failed up to 40% in the grade 9^th and 11^th subjects will be awarded passing marks (33% marks);
A special examination will be held (subject to the normality of COVID-19 situation) for the following categories;
Those not satisfied with their grade 11^th result and want to improve by taking grade 12^th examination;
Those who were intending to take a composite examination and had no grade 11^th result to rely in;
The students wanting to appear in additional/deficient subjects;
Those who failed in more than 40% of subjects of the subjects in grade 9^th and 11^th;
