Punjab Government has decided for Holidays / Closing of Punjab Schools wef 6th September 2021. The SED did so due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the province. These holidays are only for one week starting from 06-09-2021 to 11-09-2021. The details are as under:

Government of Punjab announced holidays in the Punjab schools as per the following schedule:

Thus the schools in Punjab province will remain closed wef 5th Sep to 12th Sep 2021 for 8 days. During these holidays all teachers and students should stay home and thus stay safe. They should protect themselves and their families. This update, the provincial Education Minister Dr. Murad Raas has tweeted for the information of students, parents. teachers and all concerned.
What About Higher Education Department Holidays?
These orders are only for the School Education Department. The Higher Education Department (HED) has not issued yet any orders for the closing of colleges and Universities. If they issue any, I shall upload the same for the info of the concerned.
Notification of Holidays in Schools for One Week in Punjab
In pursuance of decisions of the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC) dated 03-09-2021, all Public and Private Schools in the province of Punjab shall remain closed with effect from 06-09-2021 to 11-09-2021. The Government decided so due to a considerable rise in COVID-19 positive cases in the province.
All the concerned to ensure compliance in letter and spirit.
Higher Education Department Punjab has also issued the Notification for Holidays in Colleges in Punjab. Colleges in Punjab will also remain closed wef 4th Sep 2021 to 12th Sep 2021. These colleges will remain closed only in the following cities:
