Government of the Punjab, School Education Department has issued a Notification on 30-12-2021 in connection with a request for Preparation of Service Rules for lab Attendants and Upgradation. The details are as under:
Request Preparation of Service Rules for lab Attendants and Upgradation
I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to enclose herewith an application of Mr.Waseem Akhtar Kambooh (President, Punjab Lab Attendants Association), Lahore, Punjab, putting forth their requests as under:-
- Preparation of Service Rules for Lab Attendants
- Up-gradation of Scales of Lab Attendants
I further request that to examine the subject matter and furnish your comments/views at the earliest to proceed further.
Genuineness of the Case
The request of these employees is guanine and the Government should consider this appeal. The Lab Assistants and laboratory Attendants are lower-grade employees. These employees have no promotion channel. Govt recruits Lab Assistants and Lab Attendants mostly on a specific pay scale. They retire on the same scale after 25 or even more years’ service. The government should upgrade these employees. Further, the department should give a time scale after a specific period of time. There is another option for the lab Attendants to promote as Lab Assistants if they have the required qualifications.
