Government of Punjab, Finance Department has issued OM in connection with Notification Pension Increase wef 1^st April 2022 @ 10% Punjab. The details are as under:

Notification Pension Increase wef 1st April 2022 @ 10% Punjab

Punjab Government has notified to increase pension @ 10% of the net pension for all the pensioners of the Punjab Government. The pensioners will get enhancement with effect from 01-04-2022.

They will also get the arrears for three months @ 10% increase per month. The employees who would retire on or after 1^st April 2022 will also get this increase. Here net pension means Pension being drawn minus Medical Allowance.

The family pension will also increase for family pensioners.  The Notification of a 5 % increase in pension we can expect to release during the next week.

Before this on 1st July 2022, the Federal Government issued a Notification increase in the pension 2022 Federal Pensioners from 5% to 15%.

When did This Announcement do?

It is a good step for the Government of Punjab. The pensioners of the Federal Government were already drawing an increase on pension with effect from 1st April 2022. This enhancement, PM Shahbaz Sharif early announced at the time of his 1st speech in the National Assembly.
